Paul F. “Bud” Wensch, 92, of Sedalia, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Rest Haven Convalescent Center.

He was born August 12, 1922, in Rosedale, KS, a son of the late Paul A. and Essie Mae (Jerrell) Wensch. On December 28, 1944, in Bahner, he married Dorothy A. Sudduth, who preceded him in death on January 20, 2004.

He was a member of St. Patrick Church. He worked as a mix man for Beatrice Food Company. Paul, a devoted husband, enjoyed ballroom dancing and rose gardening with his wife, Dorothy. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and fishing.

He is survived by a son, Paul V. Wensch, of Warrensburg; four grandchildren, John Marshall, of Warrensburg, Rob Wensch (Monique), of Fort Myers, FL, Hawn Bennett (Cody), of Valparaiso, FL, and Paul “Mike” Wensch (Ashley), of Independence; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Wensch.

Prayers of the rosary will begin at 6:00 pm with visitation to follow until 7:30 pm, Thursday, April 23 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be 10 am, Friday, April 24 at the funeral chapel with Father Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Sacred Gardens.
