Paul Wayne VanSteenburgh, 63

Paul Wayne VanSteenburgh, 63, of Hughesville, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on July 1, 1950 in Pettis County, MO, a son of Richard and Iva (Bailey) VanSteenburgh.

On June 21, 1976 in Warrensburg, MO, he was united in marriage to Carol Mires.

Paul loved to hunt and fish. He was a total outdoorsman, He just loved being outside. Paul served his country honorably in the Missouri National Guard.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Marie Dennis (Chad) of Sedalia, Shane VanSteenburgh of Jefferson City, MO, Jeff Shields (Deana) of Weatherford, OK; one sister, Jeanette Brockman (Kim) of Stover, MO; one brother, Jerry VanSteenburgh (Lorraine) of Houstonia, MO; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brad VanSteenburgh; and one brother, James VanSteenburgh.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Life Point Church, 2500 E. Broadway, Sedalia, with Rev. Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
