Pettis County Crash Claims Life of Sedalia Man
A one-car crash that occurred early Saturday morning in Pettis County has claimed the life of a Sedalia man.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Greg A. Butler, 36, Sedalia, was the driver of an eastbound 2000 Chevy on Green Road, one mile east of Route U, when the driver lost control, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The report said he was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
Butler was pronounced dead at the scene by Pettis County Coroner Skip Smith at 1:49 a.m. June 17.
The body was transported to Rea Funeral Home.
The Chevy was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing. Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
