While not all expenses are in, Wood estimated a net income of $5,500.

“We are so grateful for the support of our extension community and donors. The funds raised will stay in Pettis County and will keep our programs strong,” Wood said.

The event included dinner, a silent auction and a live auction. The theme of the dinner was “Come Fly High.”

“We want our programs to stay strong. So this is our seventh year of having the fund-raiser,” said Wood, who co-chaired the event along with Nancy Burkhalter.

Some of the major local programs involving Extension include 4-H, Agriculture, Master Gardner and Nutrition & Health.
