The following Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the morning of Oct. 25, 2013.

At 9:36 Tuesday morning, a victim in the 17000 block of Dove Road in the Green Ridge area reported a .22 rifle and an unspecified amount of cash was stolen from his unlocked vehicle. There were no suspects.

Around 12:45 Tuesday afternoon, a Smithton resident came to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office to file a complaint regarding someone using her social security number in Colorado to establish their identity.

On Tuesday afternoon, a woman in the 24000 block of Highway 765 reported to Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies that someone broke into her residence and took several unspecified items. There were no suspects, but an investigation is ongoing.

A mailbox was reported damaged in the 4500 block of Forest park Road Tuesday evening.

Wednesday afternoon a Smithton man reported his cell phone was lost in the area of the Casey’s Store in Lamonte.

MSHP Accident Report

At 2:38 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Route “B” At Lake Road in Pettis County. The accident occurred as the 2004 Dodge Ram driven by 22-year-old Aaron Vincent of Green Ridge traveled off the right side of the roadway, where it struck two-reflector signs. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and ran off the left side of the roadway, striking a large hedge post and a stop sign before coming to rest. Vincent received moderate injuries and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment.
