Pettis County Warning Sirens to Sound at 10 am Today

According to Sedalia Pettis County Emergency Management Agency Director Dave Clippert, the county's tornado warning sirens will be tested today at 10 a.m.

"This is part of the statewide test. The Smithton siren did not sound last night, so we want to check that out today, " Clippert said. "Again please do not be alarmed when you hear the sirens."

The sirens were sounded twice Monday night to warn area residents of the approaching severe weather, which included a tornado warning.
