Sedalia Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of Scott Joplin Court at 1:18 a.m. Friday. Missing were two TVs valued at $800, and also $800 in cash was missing from the apartment.

On Thursday at 12:14 a.m., Travis C; Bell, 38, 1200 block of S. Stewart, was arrested near Broadway and Osage, after a traffic stop. The driver was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for DWI-prior offender, and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending sobriety.

On Thursday, May 12 just after 6 p.m., Police arrested a couple from Warsaw on shoplifting charges at the Sedalia Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway. Police were called to the business and the suspects were observed leaving the store with concealed merchandise. Police escorted them back inside the store and all of the stolen merchandise was recovered. Arrested were Claude T. Coffey, 51, and Linda Coffey, 53. Both were transported to the Pettis County Jail pending state charges. Mr. Coffey's bond on a failure to appear charge out of Benton County was set at $100.

On Thursday evening at 6:41 p.m, Sedalia Police responded to 960 Mitchell Road at Deer Brook Apartments on a deceased person. No indication of foul play was found and the family was notified.

On Thursday, a report was taken involving the theft of an $80 cell phone from 318 W. Broadway.

On Thursday at 10:37 a.m., Michelle A. Anderson, 36, of the 1400 block of S. Sneed, was arrested on four warrants out of Pettis County and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Total bond was set at $18,000 ($8,000 cash and $10,000 surety).

On Wednesday evening, Yevgeniy M. Voshev, 28, of the 100 block of Jefferson, Sedalia, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant out of Pulaski County. Voshev was transported to the Pettis County Jail and held, pending the posting of a $1,000 bond.

Betty Starke reported the theft of $69 from her purse in her room while she was staying at 601 E. 14th Street between 8 and 11 a.m. Wednesday. Hospital staff was interviewed and the investigation continues.
