Police reports for June 20, 2016

On Saturday, Sedalia Police arrested Gabrial L. Terry, 29, of Sedalia, after an officer spotted him walking along East Third. A computer check revealed he was wanted on a active warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $4,500 cash bond, a $2,000 bond and a $2,500 surety.

Sedalia Police recovered a stolen van on Sunday on a church parking lot at 12th and Summit. The van had been reported stolen out of Warsaw and had been sitting on the lot for two weeks. Police attempted contact with the owner before towing the vehicle.

Police responded to a male who was not breathing and had overdosed on Opiates in the 1100 block of South Massachusetts on Sunday morning. He was located in the bedroom and Sedalia Police and Sedalia Fire personnel attemped life-saving measures. PCAD later took over and administered Narcon, whicvh reversed the effects of an Opiate-related overdose. He regain consciousness and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center. The male subject, identified as Alexander Frances Knipp, 28, homeless, was later arrested by Police on two active warrants – one out of Pettis County for larceny ($3,500 bond) and one out of Probation and Parole (no bond) and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

On Sunday night, Sedalia Police arrested Stephen H. Hermanson, 50, Sedalia, for Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Failure to Register with the DOR, No Proof of Insurance, and Driving While Intoxicated – persistent offender, after a traffic stop in the 200 block of S. Harrison. He was transported to the Pettis County after a breathalyzer test showed he was above the legal limit.

Police took a vandalism report at the Missouri State Fairgrounds Sunday after the owner discovered the front door was forced open at BK's restaurant and bar. The damage, estimated at $500, occurred between June 17 and 19. Nothing was reported stolen, and there are no suspects or witnesses.

On Sunday night, police arrested Aullnie E. Colvin, 40, for Driving While Suspended or Revoked after a traffic stop at 16th and New York. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Police took a report of identity theft Sunday evening. The victim's debit card was used to make a $99.04 purchase, the report said. The card has since been deactivated.

Someone forced entry to a home in the 400 block of North Engineer, it was reported on Sunday night. Damage to the door frame was estimated at $100.

Christopher A. Vieth, 31, Sedalia, was arrested Friday night for Failure to Obey and Resisting Arrest after a peace disturbance was reported in the 1200 block of Spring. Bond was set at $533.50 with a July 20 court date.

A hit-and run accident at Bothwell Diagnostic Center, 990 Winchester, caused $1,000 damage to a vehicle parked on the lot on Friday. There are no suspects in the case.

James E. Stark, 39, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear upon arrest or summons during a civil standby in the 1300 block of E. Fifth, police reported on Friday evening. He was wanted on a Municipal warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

A case of identity theft was reported to police over the weekend involving $3,500 stolen from a checking account. The theft occurred out of state, the report said.
