On May 2, Police arrested Moises Romero-Rubio, 32, 1406 S. Harrison, on charges of DWI (prior offender), Driving While Revoked, possession of synthetic narcotics (demerol and methado) and possession of drug paraphernalia, after a traffic stop in the 700 block of E. Broadway after an officer observed a vehicle weaving in the roadway. The driver was found to be intoxicated. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine.

On May 6 just after midnight, Deitric C. Wren, 29, of Knob Noster, was arrested by Sedalia Police near Main and State Fair Blvd. For driving with expired registration. Police later discovered his driver's license was also suspended. The man also had an active warrant out of Johnson County for failure to appear on a DWI charge. Bond on the warrant was $750 cash or surety. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold for DWI.

On May 6 at 1:17 a.m., Elena Garcia Hickman, 49, listed as homeless, was arrested after police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of E. Fifth. The reported stated she was shouting incoherent statements to herself. She was placed in protective custody at the Pettis County Jail, pending sobriety.

On May 4, Allen L. Redick, 45, of the 400 block E. Seventh, was arrested on distribution/manufacturing/possession of dangerous non-narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, identity theft, a warrant and failure to appear, after police responded to a domestic disturbance around 10 p.m. Redick was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

Open Door, 111 W. Sixth, reported Thursday morning that a rear window on a white E150 van was broken recently. The window was valued at $150. There are no suspects.

A woman reported the theft of $500 after she alleges she was assaulted by her ex-roommate on May 4 in the 2900 block of James Road. The suspect took the money after fell to the ground during the assault.

Wayne Thomas Lion, of the 500 block of W. Fourth, was arrested after he was identified along with a female, during an investigation of a burglary at 50 West Storage on May 4. He was spotted taking items out of one storage unit and placing them in another, the report said. Lion was charged with second degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, first degree trespassing, first degree property damage, stealing from a building, and resisting arrest involving a felony. The complainants approached the suspects at the scene, and they fled on foot. Both subjects were identified, and Lion was arrested at the scene, the report said.

Police responded to the 500 block of S. Quincy on an unresponsive infant on May 5 at 1:38 p.m. Offers performed chest compressions on the infant until PCAD arrived and transported the infant to Bothwell Regional Health Center. BRHC ER staff was able to get a pulse, and the infant was flown to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Daniel D. Drianis, of the 900 block of Prospect, reported the theft of two push lawnmowers stolen from his backyard on May 4 or 5, a report stated.

Comfort Inn, 3600 W. Broadway, reported the theft of bedding valued at $89.45 on May 5. A guest of the motel is the suspect, but no contact has yet been made by police, the report said.

A hit-and-run accident was reported at Jiffy Stop, 1722 W. Broadway, on May 5 just before 5 p.m. Jordan Gilmore stated that at large black Chevy pickup backed up and struck the left rear corner his 2001 Mitsubishi, then left the scene. Police said there was noticeable damage. A license number was given to police, but they were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Landlord David Esser reported damage to an apartment he owns in the 700 block of Wilkerson on May 4. The damage to two doors and sheet rock was estimated at $600. The tenants are the suspects, the report noted.

Property damage was reported in the 600 block of Wilkerson on May 4. The victim said two windows were broken out on two vehicles. A damage estimate was unknown at the time of the report. There are two suspects.

A stolen debit card was reported on May 5 from a house in the 1500 block of Missouri. The card has been used several times around town, it was noted in the report. A suspect is known and the victim plans to press charges.

A theft of property estimated at $800 was reported in the 1000 block of West Third on May 4. There are no suspects.

On May 4, Lens Crafters, 1400 S. Limit, reported that a suspect walked into the business and stole $2,000 worth of sunglasses frames. Security footage is being reviewed by police and the business said it will press charges.

Property damage was reported at 3311 E. Broadway May 5. A garage door was pried up, but access to the building was not gained. The complainant stated he observed a tan Ford Explorer leave the scene. He tried to follow and catch up to it, but was unable to do so, the reported stated. Damage was estimated at $500.
