On Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the area of E. Boonville St. and N. Hill Ave. to search for a vehicle involved in a recent burglary. A Sedalia Police report says a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle was located, and the plates on that vehicle were stolen.

An officer approached a home on N. Hurley Ave. to speak to residents about the vehicle, and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the home. Consent was given to search the house, and police reportedly discovered items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and paraphernalia containing meth residue.

All of the drug paraphernalia and marijuana was seized, tested for drug residue, and placed into evidence. Police say charges are being sought, but no arrests were made at the time of the incident.
