Police & Sheriff reports for June 10, 2016

On June 9, Sedalia Police arrested Jennifer M. Casdorph, 41, Sedalia, for 3rd degree assault after officers responded to a disturbance. The couple was still arguing when police arrived, the report said. Officers observed a bite mark on the victim's arm. Casdorph was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hold, pending state charges.

Early Wednesday morning, Ryan Lee Hefley, 37, Sedalia, was arrested at Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 E. 14th, after Sedalia Police assisted with Morgan County deputies with a subject having drug-induced hallucinations while being transported. Hefley was placed in protective custody at the Pettis County Jail pending sobriety.

A woman reported the theft of a deep freeze on Thursday in the 1100 block of Carr. The deep freeze, valued at $1,500, was located in front of her garage in the alley. A witness reported seeing the deep freeze being loaded onto a truck. There are no suspects in the case.

A two-foot tall bald eagle statue was reported stolen from 709 Prestwick Farms on Thursday. The statue was taken between Sunday and Monday, the report said.

Police took a report of a burglary in the 900 block of E. 13th on Wednesday. Suspect(s) forced entry into the residence and stole a 65-inch flat-screen TV and miscellaneous jewelry.

A man reported the theft of a Samsung Galaxy S6 on Thursday afternoon while his vehicle was parked at a car wash in the 800 block of East Broadway.

Police took two reports of stolen bicycles – one was a black BMX taken from the 900 block of W, Third and the other was a black-and-orange Mongoose with white lettering taken from the 600 block of W. Seventh. Each bike was valued at $100.

A report of a broken rear window in a 2002 Chrysler van was reported on Wednesday in the 800 block of Brentwood. Estimate to replace was set at $100.

A breaker box was reported stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Washington on Wednesday.

A set of keys was found near the entrance to Woods Express, 703 E. Broadway, on Thursday evening.

Police responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at 12th and Wagner on Thursday afternoon. A 2004 Nissan driven by Megan Breid, Green Ridge, collided with a 2008 Cobalt driven by Gary Gladfelder, Sedalia. A utility pole was struck on the southwest corner of the uncontrolled intersection, the report said. A total of three minor injuries were reported.

Pettis County deputies took a missing juvenile report from the 28000 block of M Highway Thursday. The juvenile was later located safe and returned home.

And on Thursday, Pamela Ware, Sedalia, reported the fraudulent use of a credit device to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.
