Proposed Community Building Discussed at Sedalia City Council Work Session
The Sedalia City Council met for a work session Monday evening and discussed the construction of a new community building.
Mark Hewitt, with the Sedalia Parks Department discussed the construction of a new community building in the Liberty Park area. The proposed building has an estimated cost of about 14-million dollars. Some of the funding for the building would come from a proposed 1/8th cent sales tax. The proposed community building would have an estimated size of 46,600 square feet and some of the features it would include, would be a gym, an indoor walking track, and an event room.
The Community Building project is still in the development stages and nothing official has been decided yet.
