There are many different types of creative minds in the world, and that's evident by all the talent we have in Sedalia and our surrounding area.  We've got singers, writers, dancers, painters, musicians, dancers; just about everyone has a little creative streak in them. That will definitely be put on display with the first Queen of the Prairies Music Series.

Oicstudios.com is beginning their the Queen of the Prairies Music Series this weekend.  This group is going to have a few musicians come and perform in an open mic type format on Sept. 13 from 7 to 10 p.m. upstairs at Fitters Fifth Street Pub in Sedalia. It's something a little similar to what the group has done in the past with their Spofest series.  I got to speak with the organizer of the series, James Bryant, about the details.

The event will accept a combination open mic and featured local-area musicians.  This week, Travis DeMoss of Sedalia and Craig Phillips from Quincy, Ill. will be featured performers. Admission is free. For all of the details call James at 660-553-4572 or visit oicstudios.com

Improvisationally yours,
Behka
