Raymond R. Bozarth, 80, of Sedalia, passed away, Monday, August 19, 2013.  He was born on August 14, 1933, in Lincoln, MO, a son of Marion and Pearl (Miller) Bozarth.

He was united in marriage in 1951 to Barbara Vinson, who preceded him in death on June 6, 2013.  On January 12, 1991, in Raytown, MO he was united in marriage to Patricia Hugill, who survives of the home.

Raymond worked at Rival, B&B Machine & Welding, Duke Mfg and Kelsey Hayes Wheels. He was instrumental in inventing, fabricating and patenting different tools for Rival and Hayes Wheels.  In 1992, he opened Bozarth Machine and Welding in Cole Camp, MO, retiring in 1995.  Raymond enjoyed Nascar and racing cars.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, archer and loved showing his coon dogs.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Theresa Wolf, Karla Kast and Missie (Donnie) Hayworth all of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Joey Whitlow, Andrew Pyle (Jessie), Nick and Tyler Lindenmeyer, Kena Jeffrey (Alex), Bonnie Debates (Corey) and Emily Hayworth; four great grandchildren, Paxton Pyle, Dylan Whitlow, Kasten Jeffrey and Jonah Debates; two sisters, Helen (Herman) Halter of St. Louis and Goldie (Bob) Estes of Lincoln; and one brother, Walter Bozarth of Green Ridge.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Rick Bozarth; one stepson, Joseph Hoffmann; one sister, Alma Bozarth and two brothers, Roy and James Bozarth.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Mary Beisemeyer officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Bothwell Hospice or New Bethel Methodist Church in care of the funeral chapel.
