Making sure you're up-to-date on the latest sports happenings, here's some of the headlines from the weekend.

Tom Brady led the Patriots to the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history, overcoming a 25-point deficit in a 34-28 overtime victory over Atlanta. Brady won the game's MVP award after throwing 62 passes for 466 yards, both Super Bowl records.

The Kansas City Royals agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with Jason Hammel, the best free-agent starting pitcher remaining on the market. After the death of Yordano Ventura, Kansas City committed to finding a reliable starter and focused on Hammel, the 34-year-old who won a World Series ring with the Chicago Cubs last season.

The Lady Roadrunners suffered a 75-64 road loss to Three Rivers Community College on Saturday. The Roadrunners fell 83-72 to the Three Rivers Raiders in Poplar Bluff.

UCM claimed two wins in Oklahoma over the weekend. The No. 14 Jennies never looked back, on their way to a 75-54 win and the Mules used a 9-0 run early in the first half en route to a 78-58 win at Northeastern State.

The Kaysinger Conference Tournament continues at 6:00 tonight at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center with La Monte and Green Ridge girl’s basketball. Northwest and La Monte’s boys are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
