Here are a sampling of cases that were resolved in the Circuit Court of Pettis County from December 19th through December 30th, 2016, Courtesy of Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney, Phillip T. Sawyer.  

Donnie L. Friend: 30, Sedalia, was sentenced to 3 concurrent 7 year terms in the Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and two Probation Violation cases that were also related to Controlled Substances.

Justin L. Pruett: 25, Sedalia, was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections for Resisting Arrest.

Anthony D. Driskell:  46, Sedalia, was sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).

Tammy J. Despain:  45, Sedalia, was sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections on each of three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts – methamphetamine, 1 count – prescription narcotic) and 2 years concurrent for a felony bad check.

Austin R. Blankenship: 20, Sedalia, was sentenced to 4 years in the Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).  The defendant was also on probation for a previous Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) which was revoked and he was ordered to serve the balance of a previously suspended 5 year sentence.

Jimmy D. Brown:  28, Sedalia, was sentenced to concurrent terms of 15, 10 and 8 years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty 3 separate matters of Distribution of Controlled Substances.

Joshua J. Gresham: 32, Sedalia, was sentenced to concurrent terms of 5 years in the Department of Corrections for two counts of Burglary 2nd degree and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.

Clourisa A. Standley: 26, Camdenton, was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).

Alexander F. Morris:  36, Sedalia, was sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance (more than 35 grams of marijuana).
