Seattle Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman Teaches the World About Confidence [AUDIO]

You guys probably know that I’m not a huge sporty person. I don’t really watch football or anything like that, but I did hear about this crazy story from the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. The Seattle Seahawks beat the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 in the NFC championship game yesterday. After the game, poor, unsuspecting reporter Erin Andrews was interviewing players on the field. She asked Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman about the game-winning interception he helped make on the final play, and he completely went OFF on an embarrassing rant about 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

He said Crabtree is mediocre, and he said that if Seattle had known the 49ers would try to beat him on a fade route with the game on the line, the whole team would have worn their Super Bowl hats early. For non-fans (I had to look it up), a fade route is when the receiver runs to the corner of the end zone, and the quarterback tries to throw the ball over his head, where only he can catch it.

I think what we can take away from this whole thing is a lesson in self-esteem. He’s not trying to put down the wide receiver, but trying to talk to you and I about our own personal worth. You gotta love yourself, and believe in your abilities! So when someone tries to get one over on you, get mad! Get it out there that this is UNCOOL.

So take on the day the Richard Sherman Way. You’re good enough, you’re smart enough, and doggone it, MICHAEL CRABTREE SUCKS! Blame all your problems today on that guy. He deserves it!

Confidently yours,
Behka
