The State Fair Community College Roadrunners have announced the addition of two more student athletes for the 2013-2014 season.

Kedar Edwards, 6'4" Wing
Brooklyn, N.Y.
Long Island University Brooklyn
Edwards sat out his freshman season at Long Island University Brooklyn. He played high school basketball at West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla., for Head Coach Tony Atkins, averaging 16 points per game. He played summer basketball for the Long Island Lightning, coached by Dana Dingle.

“Kedar is an explosive athlete,” said Head Coach Kevin Thomas. “He will bring some toughness and rebounding to our team. He is a versatile player who can guard multiple positions for us. He will make an impact for us as soon as he steps on campus.”

Jalen Williams, 6'3" Guard
Clinton, Md.
Takoma Academy (Takoma Park, Md.)
Williams played high school basketball for Head Coach Harvey Powell, Jr.  He earned All-Conference honors during his junior season and was named to the Interstate Athletic Conference all-tournament team in 2010.

Williams played AAU basketball for the nationally known DC Assault. He earned Most Valuable Player Honors at the Big Shots Tournament and the Hoop Group Tournament.

“Jalen is very athletic,” said Thomas. “He has nice size with a 40-inch vertical jump. He can really score the basketball, and fits the mold of some of our other guards.”
