“I am excited about the freshmen we have coming,” said Beltran. “We have many players from the area and the state, and we also have a few players from other states and countries. I’m looking forward to seeing the players and coaching staff come together for a great season."

Beltran added three student-athletes from Sedalia. They are Carlos Aguirre, Trey Goodson and Thomas Todd. Chad Angerer, Josh Kunkelman and Cole Mengwasser come from Fatima.

Tyler Gillespie joins from Lone Jack. Alex Haag is from Stover. Nathan Hess and Alex Tomicky are from Columbia. Cameron Jackson is from Moberly. Turner McGlasson is from Winfield; Ben Rossiter is from Knob Noster, and Truman Schler is from Boonville.

Two players are from Texas, Anthony Diaz, Houston, and Buhirwa Issa, Fort Worth. Vasbert Ledger is from Lafayette, Louisiana. Four are from Australia, Niko Burns, Owen Hessing, Jaydan Messina, and Aaron Vyas. Joshua Odulaja is from Nigeria.

“It has been a very busy summer building both the men and women’s soccer teams, so I am looking forward to focusing on the students and building a winning tradition at SFCC. We found players who want to listen and learn from the coaching staff and from each other. When we start with the right people, everything else falls into place."

The Roadrunners will play an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 against William Woods University in Fulton. The first home game is 4 p.m. Aug. 31 against Barton Community College from Kansas at the SFCC Sports Complex west of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
