Robert Wayne Wilken, 72,of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born December 25, 1941, in Sedalia, son of John Henry and Gertrude Holtz Wilken, who preceded him in death. On November 28, 1964, in Sedalia, he married Judith Carolyn McMillian, who survives of the home.

Bob was the delivery driver for Plaza, Plaza West and Medical Center Pharmacies. He went the extra mile for his elderly customers by taking a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk if they needed it. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, metal detecting, radio-controlled gadgets, and building models. He built a Canadian goose model and enjoyed taking it to Liberty Park for people to enjoy. In earlier years, he cared for a paraplegic. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former member of the Sunrise Optimist Club.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by a brother, J.C. Wilken (Barbara), of Sunrise Beach; a sister-in-law, Debbie Bailey, of Blue Springs; a nephew, Johnny Vento, of Blue Springs; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page, Funeral Celebrant officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.
