A Boonville man suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County Wednesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 45-year-old John B. Dufur was the driver of a southbound 1997 Honda Civic on Missouri 135, a mile north of US 50, at 8:45 a.m. when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, went airborne and overturned, coming to rest on its top and partially ejecting the driver.

Dufur was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. He was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, the report said.

The Honda was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
