Ronald Reed Pedego, 80, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Sedalia. He was born on January 17, 1935 in Warrensburg, MO, the son of Reed Pedego and Leona Petty, who preceded him in death.

On July 5, 1985, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Georgia Lee Stout, who survives of the home.

Ronald was raised in Tipton, MO, where he graduated high school. Soon after that, he moved to Tampa, FL, where he served five years in the United States Army Reserves and was honorably discharged. He spent 25 years working in Florida as a telecommunications worker. He then moved back to Missouri and worked as an over the road truck driver for the next 26 years. After that, he worked as a security guard for eight years before retiring in 2010. Ron loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Rick Pedego of Sedalia, two daughters, Ronie Trowbridge and Rhonda Ledbetter both of Blue Springs, MO; two stepsons, Robert Potter of Jefferson City, MO and Jack Jones of Holts Summit, MO; fifteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Reggie Pedego; and two grandsons, Aaron and Adam Pedego.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Jack Jones officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.
