Rosalee Houseworth, 96, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, formerly of Windsor, Mo., died late Sunday evening, September 7, 2014, at John Knox Village Care Center, Lee’s Summit, Mo.

She was born October 3, 1917, in Iowa, the daughter of Chris Franklin Whetstine and Flora Mae (Ridenour) Whetstine. She was married to Chester Houseworth and he preceded her in death.  She later married Floyd Houseworth and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Houseworth was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife and always raised a big garden for her family.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth McMillin, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; three grandchildren, Everett “Rocky” McMillin and his wife Annette; Janet Kalwei and her husband Marc; Sherri Lawson and her husband Leroy, all of Lee’s Summit, Mo; a daughter-in-law, Stefani Houseworth, Calhoun, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Justin Kalwei (Amanda); Danielle McMillin; Jordan Phelps; Chelsea McMillin; two step-great-grandchildren, James Lawson (Tamra); Andi Lawson; three great-great-grandchildren, Augustin Kalwei, Amelia Kalwei, Alistair Kalwei; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Orie Whetstine; four sisters, Violet, Gladys, Helen and Verla; two sons, William Lee “Bill” Houseworth; Keith Wilson Houseworth.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 12, 2014, 1:30 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Clif Dudley officiating.  Burial will be in the Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards, MO.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.  The family suggests contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church and these may be left with the funeral home.  Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com
