Roy Richard Griffin, 83

Roy Richard Griffin, 83, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born September 5, 1930, in Pettis County, son of Clark Griffin and Noma Goode Croft. He was married to Wanda Jean Petree, who preceded him in death on August 24, 2001.

Mr. Griffin had worked for Kitty Clover Potato Chips, Taystee Bread and O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed watching old westerns, dancing and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Self, of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Tammy, Donna, Donnie, Theresa, Roy and Jonathan; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard R. Griffin; and a granddaughter, Christy Griffin.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Heckart Funeral Home.
