Ruth A. Hageman, 82, of Sedalia, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

She was born April 23, 1933 in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Otto B. and Marvel Bohon Decker. On December 7, 1952 in Sedalia, she was married to Jesse L. Hageman, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hageman was raised and educated in Sedalia and was a 1951 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Ruth worked in the dietary department at Bothwell Regional Health Center, and was known affectionately by many as the “Juice Lady”. She retired after 25 years of service. Ruth was a fun loving woman and loved being around people. She liked to fish, dance and spend time with her family.

She is survived by three sons, Steve Hageman (Barbara), Scott Hageman (Denice), and Shawn Hageman, all of Sedalia; a daughter, Lisa Bell (Frank), of Smithton; a sister, June Harmon (Dusty), of Independence; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Rick Adams officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Harmon, Kevin Harmon, Keith Harmon, Sam Brownfield, Jeremy Bell, Jeffrey Bell and Kevin Miller. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
