Ruth Ann (Chancey) Green, 81, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her home.  She was born on August 05, 1933 in Sedalia, the daughter of Herman and Hazel (Lessley) Chancey, who preceded her in death.

On June 15, 1962 she was united in marriage to Clifford Green, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2000.

Ruth Ann was a proud employee of O-Z Gedney Emerson Electric, Connecticut from 1966-1991.  She loved country music, bowling and dancing.  Ruth Ann was an avid reader and traveler. She especially enjoyed visiting with friends and playing cards.  She had a special place in her heart for her cats. Ruth Ann was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by one aunt, Lela Potter of Otterville, MO; four cousins, Patsy Potter and her husband Donald of Camdenton, MO, Gerald Young and his wife Kris of Sedalia, JoAnn Gray and her husband David of Independence; and Nancy (Young) Jones of Independence, MO.

She was also preceded in death by one cousin, Harry "Pete" Young, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
