Smith-Cotton High School football players spent Friday morning working for businesses and backers across the community as a way to thank them for their continuing support of the program. Coach Ryan Boyer said more than 50 athletes participated in the service day. "I was very pleased with today's effort,” Boyer said. “Our goal as a program, before anything else, is to help mold these boys into respectful and responsible young men.  A project like this helps to accomplish that goal. It also helps teach the kids teamwork. We are very grateful to have such a supportive community."
