S-C JROTC Senior Army Instructor LTC (Ret.) Matthew Coulson delivered the honor to Davis, a senior and the 2014-15 Tiger Battalion commander. Coulson told the board that only one of every 4,000 cadets enrolled in Army JROTC nationwide receives the award, “so she is considered to be one of the best cadets in Army JROTC throughout the entire program.”

Davis joins previous S-C JROTC cadets Jordan Bush (2011), Hannah Ott (2012) and Aurora Raphael and Alexandria Stewart (2013) in receiving the award, considered the highest a JROTC cadet can receive.
