S-C’s Ellis Attends Rotary Leadership Academy
Smith-Cotton High incoming junior Hayden Ellis attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy this summer at William Woods University in Fulton. He was the only student from Pettis County to attend this year's session.
The academy is a four-day training program for high school sophomores and juniors who have strong interests in community service
"My experience at RYLA was great," Ellis said. "I learned just what it took to be a leader in my community and met people who I worked very well with along the way.
"The Rotary Club truly does a lot for the world. They help with anything that benefits the people. It was a pleasure to work with my group of mentors and students to create a successful service project that could be incorporated in the Rotary Club."
