Smith-Cotton High senior Danielle Read has accepted a scholarship to perform as a dancer with the State Fair Community College Roadettes Spirit Squad.

Read currently is dancing her first year with S-C’s High Voltage Dance Team. She was awarded a “Rising Star” ribbon for outstanding work, attention and mastery of choreography at dance camp this past summer.

High Voltage Coach Julie Willadsen said: “Danielle works very hard and has made tremendous progress in dance this season, tackling some really challenging technique and halftime routines. She has a positive, friendly spirit that makes her really fun to coach. I am tremendously proud of her and look forward to seeing her dance on the SFCC court next year."
