Sacred Heart Cheer Squad Earns Top Honors

The Sacred Heart Varsity cheer squad competed in the State Fair Spirit Classic Competition on March 18, taking first place in their division, and second grand champion overall.

In individual jumps competition, Alexis Hanlon took first in her division and first overall, earning a bid to the national competition in Indianapolis in May.

Shelby Bain, cheer captain, was awarded the superstar award. More than 20 teams participated. The cheer squad is coached by Jen Pinkel, and assisted by Denise Hanlon.
