Persistent defense and impressive shooting earned the Sacred Heart Junior High Girls a victory over the Tipton Cardinals, 37-25, Monday night.

Brooklynn Greene led the way for the Gremlins with 15 points. Mariana Restrepo had 10 points and Bree Wilson brought in 7.

The next game for the Gremlins will be Thursday, Jan. 3 at home vs the Green Ridge Tigers. Tipoff at 5:30 p.m.


The Sacred Heart Junior High boys (2-1, 2-0) beat the Tipton Cardinals, 44-28, last night in Tipton. The leading scorers were Ian Smith and Tony Farr with 13 and 10 points respectively.

The "B" team (2-0) won by a score of 15-2. Jaden Velando had 6 points for the Grems and Jacob Brownfield contributed 4.

The Grems next action is on Thursday, Jan. 3 at home vs the Green Ridge Tigers.  The “A” boys follow the “A” girls game. The boys "B" team will play following the boys "A" game.
