Sacred Heart observed Veterans Day with an all-school assembly on Nov. 12. 

Dr. Jim Davis, former SH assistant principal and a veteran of the Vietnam War, served as the official MC for the event. The Sacred Heart Band, in conjunction with the Whiteman AFB Color Guard, presented the colors and played the National Anthem.  Braden Bawcom, Captain, USAF, stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, served as the keynote speaker.

Captain Bawcom is a B-2 pilot and father of four children, two of whom attend Sacred Heart. The assembly was concluded with emotional and moving testimonials from local Veterans in attendance.

Carlos Caraballo and Bill Gordon, were among several veterans in attendance. Carballo is seated with his son, Angelo, a kindergartner at SHS.
