Sedalia Business Woman (SBW) installed several new officers for the 2016-2017 term during its meeting May 5.

President Donna Hirner-Gardner will lead the organization this year with her theme, “shoot for the moon and land among the stars,” which she chose because “each of the SBW memebrs is a star to me and I’m constantly amazing at the generosity they have toward their fellow women and their community.”

Hirner-Gardner’s goals for the upcoming year include retaining and increasing membership, to continued SBW’s support of CASA and the end to domestic and sexual violence, to help women who are going to school through the use of SBW scholarships, and to support both the local SBW Foundation and the Business Women of Missouri Foundation.

Hirner-Gardner will be joined by president-elect Debra Andresen, first vice president Holly Brown, second vice president Dena Stockstill, treasurer Della Schnakenberg, secretary Debbie Ulmer, and director Michelle Sparks.

Sedalia Business Women meet the first Thursday of the month in the conference room at Best Western. For more information on the organization, go to sedaliabwm.org or search for “Sedalia Business Women” on Facebook.
