For some it's football season and for others, it's...well...the other football season, American style. Confused? You shouldn't be...they're both a kick!

It's that time of the year in the State of Missouri for high school teams to make runs at their respective state titles in football and soccer.

In football, American style, the Smith Cotton Tigers and Sacred Heart Gremlins are making a run towards those titles.

For the Tigers it's their undefeated 9-0 record and first district game as they host the Belton Pirates (6-4)  Friday night, October 27 at Tigers Stadium for a 7:00 p.m. contest. For Sacred Heart, the Gremlins (8-0) will host Hardin Central (7-3) the next afternoon at 4:00 at Tigers Stadium.

In soccer action, the 23-1 Smith-Cotton Tigers will continue thier season play against Rock Bridge Wednesday, October 25 at Hickman High School in Columbia. For Sacred Heart, it will be a Saturday afternoon match in St. Louis, as the Gremlins will battle Valley Park.

Good luck to the Tigers and the Gremlins!
