The Board of Education of the Sedalia #200 School District hired Mr. Steve Triplett as Assistant Superintendent of Schools in charge of Buildings and Grounds / Student Support Services during a closed session on Monday, Jan. 14.  He will fill the position on July 1, 2013, when Bradley Pollitt vacates the position and becomes the Superintendent of Schools.

Triplett is a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School who holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the University of Central Missouri and an Education Specialist degree from Williams Woods University.  He has spent his entire 20 years in education with the Sedalia School District.

Triplett began his educational career in 1993 as a high school P.E. teacher and soccer coach.  He has served as Assistant Principal at the Middle School and High School as well as Principal of the Junior High and most recently, as Principal of Smith-Cotton High School.
