Sedalia Police reports 2-18-19

Sedalia Police arrested 36-year-old Jennie Lee Schwermer at Broadway and Lamine around 5 p.m. Saturday after a traffic stop. According to a report, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a white crystallized substance was found in the driver's purse as well as an illegal weapon. Schwermer was found to be wanted on a Municipal warrant. She was taken into custody and charged with possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, illegal weapon and also a $70 bond on the warrant at the Pettis County Jail, then released with a March 13 court date.


 

46-year-old Christopher William Crouch was arrested at the American Inn, 1217 S. Limit and charged with elder abuse around noon on Feb. 11. The victim in the case was referred to Senior Services.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of E. 6th on a domestic disturbance call in which a male and female were fighting over a cell phone. 30-year-old Alan T. Saxton was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was charged with 4th degree domestic assault. He was also wanted on a Pettis County warrant for stealing. His bond on the warrant was $1500.


 

Sedalia Police responded to Casey's at 1601 E. Broadway around 12:40 a.m. Thursday on a call of a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers were told the subjects left the area. The vehicle was later located and the occupants said the incident was merely a prank. A computer check of all subjects revealed that 21-year-old Dalton J. Lukecart of Lincoln was wanted on a Johnson County warrant for trespassing of a motor vehicle as well as a $200 warrant for stealing. Lukecart was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash or surety bond, with a Feb. 20 court date.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance call at 12th and Moniteau at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday involving three people. One was determined to be the primary aggressor. 25-year-old Wesley Cole Bradley was taken to the Pettis County Jail and charged with 2nd degree domestic assault.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 1800 block of S. Lamine around 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11. 29-year-old Michael L. Blanks was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Blanks was charged with 2nd degree domestic assault. The victim was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a verbal disturbance in the 1400 block of S. Barrett around 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Several subjects were located outside the residence. One subject. 34-year-old David R. Batzel of Sedalia was wanted on two Pettis County warrants. One had a $250 cash bond, while the other had a $25,000 cash or surety bond. Batzel now has a March 2 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 29-year-old Tyler Kenneth Dake of Sedalia after responding to a disturbance at the Thompson Hills Shopping Center just before 1 p.m. Sunday. According to a report, a suspect attempted to steal a van at McDonald's before being confronted by the owner. The suspect then fled on foot, but was followed by the van's owner. The suspect then assaulted the owner. Witnesses then detained the suspect until police arrived. Dake was charged with 4th degree assault, stealing from a motor vehicle and 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.


 

Sedalia Police took vandalism reports on Sunday morning from three residents who said their mailboxes were destroyed in the 1000 block of E. 24th.


Sedalia Police arrested 32-year-old Eric Sean Archibeque of Sedalia in the 800 block of S. Limit just after 1 p.m. Friday after a motor vehicle accident. Archibeque was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on charges of driving while suspended and no proof of insurance, and later released.


 

Sedalia Police responded to WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, just before 11 p.m. Thursday, where they arrested 17-year-old Kiara Renee Willis of Sedalia. She was charged with 1st degree burglary, 1st degree trespassing and stealing.


 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 27-year-old Mariah Thompson of Warrensburg at 1:45 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County. She was taken to the Johnson County Jail on a felony Lafayette County warrant.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 33-year-old Steven D. Mackey of Clinton at 259 p.m. Saturday in Henry County. He was wanted on a felony Henry County warrant and was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Mackey was taken to the Henry County Jail.


 

Pettis County deputies arrested Brandon Miller on an active warrant on Sunday.
