Around 11:00 Tuesday morning (July 25), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of E. 16th Street in reference to a 911 hang-up call. The report indicates the call was disconnected and dispatch was unable to reconnect with the caller. When officers arrived at the house, they reportedly heard yelling coming from inside. According to the report, police knocked on the door and a man inside told the officers to go away and that the caller did not want to talk with them. The caller eventually came to the door and told officers that the man inside, 25-year old Dakota W. Pottorff, had been verbally aggressive and threatened her. According to the report, police arrested Pottorff and transported him to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $533.50.


Around 7:45 Monday night (July 24), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of N. Osage Ave in reference to property damage. The victim reported that 42-year old Dana Jeanette Martin, had intentionally struck the victim's vehicle with another vehicle. The report indicates that Martin also struck a utility pole while fleeing the scene. Police located Martin in the 1800 block of S. Osage Ave. She was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending charges of 1st Degree Property Damage and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.


On Tuesday (July 25), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested 35-year old Carl Frank Smith Jr, of Sedalia, for an outstanding Saline County warrant for nonsupport of a child.
