On Tuesday (July 18), Sedalia Police conducted a subject-check in the 2000 block of West Broadway. According to the report, dispatch confirmed the suspect had a Probation Violation warrant and a FTA warrant from Pettis County. The suspect, 28-year old David R. Forbis, of Columbia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a total bond of $4,510.


Just after 9:00 Monday night (July 17), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the North City Limits on N. Ohio Ave, for an assistance call from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department. According to the report, there was a disturbance at Break Time on N. Ohio Ave. Dispatch provided officers with a description of the vehicle and police located the vehicle. The report indicates the suspect was not in the vehicle, however there was another man inside. The man is identified as 19-year old Melvin Edward Osburn. Police say that Osburn had a FTA warrant from Benton County. Osburn was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $200. There were no further details listed in the report about the other suspect.


Around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon (July 18), Sedalia Police responded to Superior Auto, located at 620 W. Main Street, for a reported stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 1994 Chevrolet C3500, belonging to W&M Welding, was stolen from the parking lot sometime between July 15 and July 16. There are no suspects at this time.
