Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check Wednesday morning (Apr 26), in the 2400 block of West 3rd Street. Upon contact with the suspect, officers checked her information through dispatch. According to the report, a Pettis County FTA warrant for a traffic offence, was confirmed for 26-year-old Brittany Nicole Swearingin. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a $585.50 bond. Swearingin was booked and released.


Around 7:00 Wednesday morning (Apr 26), Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of West 11th Street for a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man and woman arguing in a yard. According to the report, the subjects information was checked through dispatch and a city FTA warrant for a traffic offence was confirmed for the woman. 35-year-old Angie Marie Steeves was taken to the Pettis County Jail on the warrant, where she was booked and released.


On Wednesday (Apr 26), Sedalia Police took a report of property damage in the 2900 block of Clinton Road. The victim stated that someone had slashed one of the tires on her car, while it was parked at the residence. According to the report, a possible suspect has been identified, but no names were released.


On Thursday (Apr 27), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies took a report of harassment that allegedly occurred at Hughesville School. According to the report, a student had been posting negative comments and pictures on social media. The investigation is ongoing.
