A Cole Camp woman was arrested around 10:20 a.m. on July 10 for felony DWI and felony driving while revoked. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Rebecca E. Bates was taken to the Benton County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold.


Sedalia Police were dispatched on July 10 to a business in the 600 block of S. Ohio Ave. around 1:20 p.m. Police were told that copper wiring had been cut from an air conditioning unit. The theft occurred sometime between early Monday evening and Tuesday morning. There are no suspects at this time.


On July 10, the Pettis County Sheriff's Office investigated a case of counterfeit currency in the 23000 block of MM Highway. The investigation is ongoing.


Police say a Sedalia woman was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia when she was arrested for theft on July 9. Police took a report of the theft of a cell phone in the area of W. 3rd St. and S. State Fair Blvd. The suspect, 29-year-old Kimberly M. Gibbs, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was reportedly found to be in possession of drugs. Gibbs was placed on a 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and stealing.
