Sedalia Area Crime Reports for July 23, 2018

The Sedalia Police Department and Sedalia Fire Department were dispatched to 160 Summer Ave. on July 22 for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, it was found that two vehicles were engulfed in flames. A nearby home was also damaged. The Sedalia Fire Department has not determined the cause of the fire.

Police stopped a vehicle around 11:50 p.m. on July 22 in the 800 block of E. Broadway for having no plate fixed on the front of the vehicle. After an investigation, the driver, 18-year-old Nathan C. Krueger, was arrested on State misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana. Krueger was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.

A 27-year-old Cole Camp man was arrested on July 21 around 1:30 a.m. after officers reportedly observed him walking in the middle of W. Pettis St. near North Ohio Ave. Police say Derrick James Seeley ran away when he saw the officers' patrol car. Seeley was caught and it was determined that he had six confirmed active Pettis County warrants. Police say Seeley was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Seeley was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Police took a theft report on July 21 from the 600 block of Benton. Sometime overnight, a fenced in portion of the business had been broken into a a trailer with a John Deere tractor on it was stolen.

A 29-year-old Sedalia man was arrested for counterfeiting $100 bills, forgery, and possession of forging instruments. Collin T. Bressie was arrested on July 19 after a search warrant was executed in the 2200 block of W. 1st St. Terrace. Bressie was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

On July 20, deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff's Office arrested Robert Clarence Esser near the intersection of MO 127 and W. Olive in La Monte for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Esser was booked and released on a  summons.

On July 19, deputies arrested Sergei S. Gladush Jr. in the 6600 block of Monsees Drive in Pettis County on an outstanding warrant out of Texas for indecency with a child.
