On November 26, deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff's Office arrested Leona K. Neely on a Johnson County warrant for passing bad checks. Neely was taken to the Pettis County Jail where she is being held on $300 cash only bond.


A 42-year-old Columbia woman was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol around 1 p.m. on November 26 on a variety of charges, including felony tampering with a motor vehicle, felony heroin possession, four felony counts of stealing a credit card device, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and active felony warrants for stealing from Boone and Pettis Counties. Lesa M. Perryman was taken to the Audrain County Jail.


On November 26, the Pettis County Sheriff's Office took a report of a violation of an order of protection. Deputies spoke with the reporting party who explained that a text message had been received from an ex-boyfriend. An investigation is ongoing.


A 19-year-old Warrensburg man and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested on Wednesday following an armed robbery in Sedalia. According to Sedalia Police, nearly $32,000 worth of Apple products were stolen at gunpoint from the Sprint Store on W. Broadway Blvd. GPS tracking capabilities on the devices led authorities to the suspects, who were apprehended at a convenience store in Knob Noster. Police say Yusuf H. Gauwas was taken to the Pettis County Jail on charges including first degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. The juvenile was transported to a juvenile detention facility. All of the stolen property was recovered, and a loaded 9 mm pistol was reportedly located inside the suspects' vehicle.
