Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop around 9:00 Friday night (Mar 3), in the area of West 16th Street and South Kentucky Avenue, on a vehicle for disobeying a stop sign and for defective license plate lights. Upon investigation, a passenger in the vehicle was discovered to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, 19-year-old Austin Scott Gruber, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Gruber was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.


Around 7:30 Friday night (Mar 3), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Broadway and South Kentucky Avenue. The investigation revealed one passenger had a Sedalia-municipal warrant for an original charge of stealing. The passenger, 26-year-old Lacy Ralene Sutton, of Stover, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $250.


On Friday (Mar 3), Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 3100 block of Brianna Blvd. The victim stated that someone got into his apartment and stole a 45 caliber rifle. The value of the rifle was placed at $500. There are no suspects at this time.


On Friday (Mar 3), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested Cecilia Bailey, of Otterville, for driving while suspended, in the area of 50-Highway and O Highway.


On Thursday (Mar 2), Pettis County deputies arrested 30-year-old Rebecca Crum in the area of Broadway and New York Avenue, for driving while suspended, expired tags, and a Sedalia Police Department warrant.


On Wednesday (Mar 1), the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a 37-year-old Sedalia man in Saline County. Glen M. Naylor was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Naylor was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Saline County Jail.
