Sedalia Area Crime Reports for the Evening of May 21, 2018

On Sunday (May 20), Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of N. Grand Ave. The victim reported that a subject, who is known to her, stole the vehicle's keys out of her purse. The vehicle is described as a white 2006 Kia Sorento. The vehicle was recovered in Warrensburg early Monday morning. A charge of Stealing a Motor Vehicle is being submitted to the state prosecutor's office. No suspect information was available in the report.

On Saturday night (May 19), the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cooper County arrested 40-year old Jose A. Alicea Vazquez, of Sedalia, for Felony DWI (aggravated offender), Driving While Revoked, and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway. Vasquez was taken to the Cooper County Jail.

Just after 1:00 Sunday morning (May 20), the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 27-year old Leopoldo Rubio Leon, of Sedalia, for DWI, No Operators License and No Insurance. Leon was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Late Saturday night (May 19), Highway Patrol troopers arrested 24-year old Brandon L. Ede, of Sedalia, for several vehicle offences, including DWI and No Insurance. Ede was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
