Just after 8:00 Wednesday morning (Nov 30), Sedalia Police officers were in the area of West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue, when they attempted to make contact with a male subject. The man fled on foot. Officers then pursued the man and he was apprehended in the 1400 block of South Ohio Avenue. The suspect was confirmed to have an active Pettis County warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle. The warrant carried a bond of $25,000, cash or surety. A search also revealed the suspect was in possession of methamphetamine. 24-year old Brett David Marler-Norton was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges of resisting arrest for a felony and possession of a controlled substance.

 

Just before midnight on Monday (Nov 28), Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Broadway and Arlington Avenue, for improper lane use. Contact was made with the driver and the odor of intoxicants was detected. According to that report, a field sobriety test was conducted and the driver did poorly. 40-year old Racheal C. York was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released. York was given a court date of December 21, 2016.

 

Tuesday afternoon, officers took a report of property damage in the 2200 block of East 10th Street. Someone had cut the victim's tire. The replacement cost of the tire was estimated at $150. There are no suspects at this time.


 

On Wednesday (Nov 30), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested 20-year old Tylor J. Sayers, for property damage.
