Just before 10:00 Monday morning (Oct 30), Sedalia Police were on patrol in the 400 block of E. 3rd Street, where they observed a man known to have felony parole violation warrant. According to the police report, the warrant was confirmed and another unit was called to assist with taking the suspect into custody. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, 21-year old Austin M. Dotson, but he reportedly ran into a residence. After a search, Dotson was located hiding in a crawl space under the house. Dotson was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on the warrant and resisting arrest.


On Monday (Oct 30), Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of W. 3rd Street for a reported disturbance. Officers reportedly made contact with multiple people and the investigation revealed a suspect, 35-year old Tara L. Davis, had a Pettis County warrant. Davis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $2,500.


Early Monday morning (Oct 30), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. 5th Street and S. Missouri Ave, for a vehicle with a defective headlight. Investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated. The driver, Amy Rachelle Naylor, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail, pending a state charge of DWI.


On Monday (Oct 30), Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen firearm in the 900 block of Winchester Drive. According to the report, the victim told officers that someone stole a black Springfield XDS 9mm pistol from the residence. The value of the gun was placed at $400. The victim provided police with information about a suspect, but no further details were listed in the report.


On Monday (Oct 30), Sedalia Police took a burglary report in the 1600 block of S. Grand Ave. The victim said someone came into the residence and took a Sony PS3, valued at $500. According to the report, a suspect was identified but had not been located. No further details were available in the report.
