Just before 9:00 Monday morning (Oct 10), Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to Washington Elementary School, in reference to a physical disturbance. According to the report, an investigation revealed the suspect had assaulted the victim. 27-year old John Ray Brown was arrested for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges. No other details were listed in that report.

 

Around 6:40 Sunday evening (Oct 9), Sedalia Police officers responded to the 500 block of South Quincy Avenue, in reference to an assault that had occurred earlier in the day, at another address. A female subject stated she was assaulted in her home, by a male who also lives there. Officers arrested the man, identified as 38-year old Jeffrey Alan Smith, for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Smith was placed on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending formal charges.

 

On Monday (Oct 10), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies took a report from a man who claimed that someone had broken into his garage, in the 10000 block of Highway 52, in Windsor, MO. No other details were listed in that report.
