Tylor Megill picked up the win for the Fairbanks (Alaska) Goldpanners. Megill allowed two earned runs, eight hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Danny Chambliss took the loss for the Bombers, but allowed only three runs while striking out six.

Trey Hair went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

The Bombers did have an early lead, when they scored two in the third inning off rbi's from Jess Cartner and Robert Prieto. The Goldpanners did not respond offensively until the sixth inning, when they scored one and then four in the seventh.

The Goldpanners will play the loser of the Haysville Aviators versus Arvanda Colts game on Monday night (Aug. 4).

The Bombers finished the National Baseball Congress World Series with a record of 4-3 and were the NBC World Series First Week Runner-up.
