The Sedalia City Council met at City Hall Monday night for its regularly scheduled meeting.

The council approved ordinances accepting an agreement between the city and AT&T relating to the purchase of telephone service for the city’s telephone system. There was also an ordinance calling for the rebuilding of the Taxi lane and the Parking Ramp at the Sedalia Regional Airport.

The council was also asked to review the ordinance accepting a contract amendment to the Supervised Work Release Program Agreement between the City of Sedalia and Tipton Correctional Center.

KSIS talked to Sedalia City Administrator Gary Edwards about that program, and he said the cemetery, and Public Works Department are two of the places that uses the program, which has saved the city money.
